Ed, I just today installed FX on my Windows & machine. Very nice job! Look for my donation of appreciation.
I have the same problem but my OS is Linux MINT re installed basic .pde on the arduino .. to no avail. I ran a basic blink sketch off another pin before re installing just to check that the arduino environment was working properly. updated the FTDI drivers prior t all of this. Still no joy.. any ideas?
i got part of the way by compiling serproxy from the linux sources
still no racing but you can get into the software
the snag was the baud rate.
